MADISON – WisDems today launched a new feature on the website where Wisconsinites can learn more about Governor Evers’ biennial budget, and encourage lawmakers to work with the governor to make the proposal a reality.

This year’s state budget—amid a historic pandemic—is more important than ever before, and Governor Evers’ plan rises to meet the moment. His proposed Badger Bounceback agenda lays out a clear path for Wisconsin to not just recover from this pandemic, but bounce back stronger than ever.

“Governor Evers’s Badger Bounceback agenda reflects the shared values of our state, and the Democratic Party of Wisconsin is here to help constituents tell legislators that it’s time to pass it into law,” said WisDems Chair Ben Wikler. “Governor Evers has proven that he has what it takes to lead us out of this crisis and into a brighter future for Wisconsinites across race, class, region, and political party. The clock is ticking for the legislature to show they’re ready to put families over politics and join him.”

Governor Evers and his administration have made Wisconsin a national leader in vaccine distribution, earning praise even from Republican legislative leaders such as Wisconsin House Speaker Robin Vos and Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu. With Wisconsin families and businesses still feeling the pain of the health and economic crisis, now is the time for leaders in Madison to invest in speedy and lasting recovery. These new resources and organizing tools are designed to help spread the word about what’s in the Governor’s budget and encourage leaders in the State Capitol to get it passed.

The site breaks down Governor Evers’ proposals on key issues including broadband access, affordable healthcare, prescription drug prices, infrastructure, and supporting small businesses into simple, shareable “baseball” cards.
