Yesterday, USDA Secretary Vilsack, along with Senior Members of the National Economic Council, the Domestic Policy Council and the Office of Public Engagement at the White House participated in a virtual convening of religious, labor, rural, agriculture, African American, Latino, AAPI and other state leaders in Wisconsin and Michigan to talk about President Biden’s vision for America. This event came on the day President Biden outlined his Build Back Better Agenda which will make a once-in-a-generation investment in the foundations of middle-class prosperity: education, health care, home care, and child care and other critical priorities like clean energy investments that position us to tackle the climate crisis. From making education more affordable and accessible, and expanding key provisions like the Child Tax Credit to providing economic security through programs like paid leave to families, the President will continue advancing his full economic agenda to bolster America’s growth and competitiveness.
