(Madison, WI) – This morning, Senator Brad Pfaff (D-Onalaska), Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture and Tourism Committee, participated in a public hearing on the confirmation of Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP) Secretary-designee Randy Romanski.

After the hearing, Senator Pfaff released the following statement:

“Randy has my full support. In 2019 when Governor Evers appointed me as DATCP Secretary, Randy was the first person I called to serve on the leadership team. I knew his expertise would be instrumental to the department.”

“As Secretary-designee, he has navigated one of the most challenging years for farmers and our agriculture community in recent memory. He has done so with a degree of focus and commitment that met the moment and exceeded expectations.”

“Randy made it clear from his testimony that he’s a go-getter with a solid track record—and I have every faith he will continue serving our farmers, processors, and rural communities well.”

“I urge my colleagues to join me in voting to confirm Secretary Romanski when it comes to the floor.”
