MADISON, Wis. — Senator Julian Bradley, R–Franklin, issued the following statement Monday after seeing that bills to close the indefinitely confined and voter ID loopholes in Wisconsin’s elections laws are on the Senate calendar for Wednesday:

“Wisconsinites have been calling their senators to ensure we are doing our jobs to make it easy to vote but hard to cheat,” Senator Bradley said. “Passing these bills is a top priority for me because our elections are the foundation of our democratic republic. Our elections must be safe and secure.

“I want to thank Senator Stroebel and Senator Darling for authoring these bills and leadership for their diligent work with the caucus to ensure these essential reforms are getting to the floor.”

The election bills will be taken up for a vote by the full Wisconsin State Senate on Wednesday.
