Madison – Newly-elected State Representative William Penterman officially began his first term in the 105th Wisconsin State Legislature earlier this week. Rep. Penterman (R-Columbus) took his first oath of office in a ceremony at the Dodge County Courthouse Monday afternoon.

“It is an honor to begin representing the 37th Assembly District. I am committed to building on the strong foundation of fiscal responsibility that has been set over the past years, and continuing to fight to protect my constituents’ hard earned money.

“After years of working in the Assembly, I’m excited to dive right in and hit the ground running to stand up against the Executive Branch who continues to spend more tax dollars. I understand the frustration of government’s overbearing regulation and want to continue to make sure our government is working with our businesses and not against them.

“One of my primary focuses over my first session will be getting Wisconsin back to work. We can’t get the economy on track until we get Wisconsin back to work. I want to help foster a business friendly environment through common sense pro-growth reforms.”

Joining Rep. Penterman at the inaugural ceremony was his wife Abby Penterman. Rep. Penterman looks forward to joining the GOP Assembly’s strong majority.

Representative Penterman’s office is located in the Wisconsin State Capitol at 8 West.  He can be reached at (608) 266-9650 or by e-mail at [email protected].
