MADISON – Today, Representative Loren Oldenburg (R-Viroqua) was sworn into his second term as the Representative for Wisconsin’s 96th Assembly District. He has also been selected to serve as the Chairman for the Assembly Committee on Small Business Development. He will serve as the leader of the committee for the 2021-2022 Legislative Session.

“As a farmer, and small business owner, I am looking forward to working on legislation that will positively impact the small businesses of Wisconsin,” said Oldenburg regarding his chairmanship. “The COVID-19 pandemic has had devastating effects on our state’s small businesses, as Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Small Business Development I am eager to help small businesses prosper in Wisconsin.”

Oldenburg has also been appointed to the Assembly Committee on Agriculture, where he will serve as the Vice-Chair. He will also serve as a member on the following Assembly Committees, Rural Development, Workforce Development, Energy & Utilities, and Environment.

The 2021-2022 Legislative Session began with the Inauguration of all members of the Assembly. The Inauguration of the Wisconsin State Assembly was held this afternoon, Monday, January 4, 2021.
