Rep. Neubauer Encourages Wisconsinites to Get Vaccinated, Get $100

CITY OF RACINE – Today, Gov. Tony Evers announced the creation of a new vaccination program aimed at increasing COVID-19 vaccination rates across the state in the face of a Delta variant surge. Wisconsinites, ages 12 and up, who get vaccinated from a Wisconsin provider between August 20 and September 6 are able to collect a $100 Visa gift card. No proof of insurance, ID, or citizenship are required to receive the reward. Rep. Greta Neubauer (D-Racine) issued the following statement in support:

“With summer coming to an end, a new school year beginning, and a $100 reward, now is the time to get vaccinated in Wisconsin. While we have made great strides in our state’s vaccination campaign, we have much further to go, and I am excited to see the effects that this new program will have on our vaccination rates.

“With the Delta variant spreading in our communities, keeping ourselves and our neighbors safe is critically important. Now is the time for all eligible Wisconsinites to step up and get the shot so that we can continue to open our state and get back to our favorite community pastimes. Let’s put an end to COVID-19.

“In order to receive the $100 gift card, residents must fill out the form available at 100.wisconsin.gov. Submissions will be verified to make sure that individuals received their first dose from a provider in Wisconsin between August 20 and September 6. Visa cards will be mailed to participants, which may take up to six weeks to arrive.”
