Kicking off the night of speeches, U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan praised Gov. Tony Evers and President Joe Biden for their efforts to end the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Town of Vermont Dem thanked grassroots Dem voters and organizers for their efforts to get people to the polls and promote absentee ballots through 2020.
“But here’s the rest of the story: we’ve got to do this all over again in 2022,” Pocan said. “We need that same effort in 2022 that we had in 2020.”
Pocan called on Dems to do all they can to reelect Evers to the governorship, as well as to “send Ron Johnson back to whatever planet he came from.”
He called U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson “America’s most clueless senator” and asked primary voters to avoid infighting and remember that Johnson is their true opponent.
