Huge Haul Positions Owens to Take on Josh Kaul
MADISON, Wis. — The Ryan Owens for Attorney General campaign raised nearly $304,000 in just over two months since launching. The haul firmly positions Ryan Owens as the only candidate capable of taking on the incumbent, Attorney General Josh Kaul, and the progressive special interest money pouring into this race.
The amount raised is a record for a first report from a candidate for attorney general. In fact, the haul is more than any incumbent attorney general (or candidate) has raised in the first half of the non-election year–eclipsing the $298,035 then-Attorney General Brad Schimel raised over the first six months of 2017 and the roughly $160,000 then-Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen raised in 2009 and 2013. Moreover, Owens did it in less than half the time.

The Owens campaign has received donations from all 72 counties in Wisconsin matching a rare feat recently accomplished by President Donald J. Trump and Governor Scott Walker.
