MILWAUKEE – Joel Brennan, secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Administration, will be the featured guest at a virtual event set for noon on Tuesday, June 8.  This Newsmaker Lunch Hour is presented by a partnership between the Milwaukee Press Club and WisPolitics.com.

Joel Brennan was selected by Gov. Tony Evers to head the Department of Administration and has served in that role since Jan. 7, 2019. Brennan’s office helps the governor to develop and implement the state budget and supports other state agencies and their programs.

The Department of Administration has also been at the table during contract negotiations with Foxconn. Most recently, the renegotiated deal has reduced tax incentives for the company’s scaled-back project in Racine County.

Before being appointed secretary, Brennan served as President & CEO of Discovery World for more than a decade. Prior to leading Discovery World, Brennan served as the head of Milwaukee’s Redevelopment Authority.

Brennan will field questions from a panel of journalists from noon to 1 p.m., moderated by Milwaukee Press Club President Corrinne Hess, reporter for Wisconsin Public Radio.

You must register in advance to view this event. Those who register will receive a link on the morning of the event to view it live.
