MILWAUKEE— Fair Elections Project Director Sachin Chheda released the following statement in response to Governor Evers’ discussion of redistricting in tonight’s State of the State speech.
“It’s great to hear tonight that the governor has continued to make fair, open, transparent, honest redistricting a priority.
“If there’s one thing the last few weeks have taught us, it’s that the vast majority of Americans demand less partisanship and less divisiveness. We want a government that is more responsive to the people.
“Every elected official in Wisconsin should commit to seeing through a nonpartisan, transparent, fair and independent redistricting process.”
