Today, the Census Bureau released apportionment data based on the 2020 census count that determines the number of seats each state in the country has in the United States House of Representatives. Based on this new data, Wisconsin will retain its eight congressional seats.

“We’re glad that the Census Bureau has officially kicked off the redistricting process by releasing these re-apportionment numbers. Thankfully, Wisconsin retains its eight seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, and we’re looking forward to more specific data coming this September that will be used to redraw these eight district lines. All On The Line (AOTL) will do everything in our power to ensure that there is a fair and transparent process that results in congressional and state legislative maps where both parties must compete to win the support of Wisconsinites at the polls,” said Elizabeth Treviño, AOTL Wisconsin State Director.
