[Concord, WI] – 1848 Project, Inc. has announced today that Alec Zimmerman will join
the organization as it’s new Communications Director. 1848 Project President Rebecca
Kleefisch said the following on Zimmerman’s hiring:

“Alec will make a great addition to the 1848 Project as we identify and promote effective
policy solutions to our state’s most pressing challenges. He was a great asset as a
communications and operations director in the Lt. Governor’s office, particularly as we
began our work to end homelessness as we know it. Alec will excel at serving
Wisconsin through the 1848 Project.”

Zimmerman is from Holmen, WI and a graduate of Marquette University. He has served
in roles with Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner, Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch,
Wisconsin Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, and the Republican Party of
Wisconsin.
