UW-Stout: Community partnership offers COVID-19 vaccine opportunities to university employees

Menomonie, Wis. – With the support of Dunn County Public Health, University of Wisconsin-Stout employees are now able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine through the Mayo Clinic Health System. And through a partnership with the Medicine Shoppe, a local pharmacy, 255 university employees received the first dose of the vaccine at an on-site pop-up clinic on March 9. On March 1, employees in an educational setting became eligible to receive vaccinations as part of Phase 1B in the COVID-19 Vaccine Plan in Wisconsin. Opportunity Wisconsin ad knocks Johnson for opposing COVID-19 bill

Opportunity Wisconsin is out with a new 15-second digital ad knocking U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Oshkosh, for opposing the COVID-19 bill that President Biden signed into law today. The group said the six-figure buy will run statewide. It’s in addition to a $1 million TV buy the group has aired in Wisconsin over the last several weeks. Dept. of Transportation: Counties receive aid to maintain forest roads

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) announced today that $320,600 in state funds will help improve more than 900 miles of public roads throughout Wisconsin’s county forests. WisDOT administers the state’s County Forest Road Aid program, which assists 24 Wisconsin counties that maintain and improve public roads in county forests.
