The ad list Johnson, R-Oshkosh, along with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Josh Hawley, R-Mo. The ad, which includes black-and-white imagery from the Jim Crow era, says those financially supporting the legislators are “supporting racism at the highest level.”

Evers finished ’20 with $3.4 million in bank; raised $2.7 million from state Dem Party

Gov. Tony Evers finished 2020 with $3.4 million in the bank, giving him a healthy balance to begin the upcoming election cycle if he runs for reelection in 2022. For the year, Evers listed $3.9 million in receipts. That includes $2.7 million from the state Dem Party. Republicans in 2015 overhauled state campaign finance laws to allow unlimited contributions from state parties to candidates. By comparison, former Gov.
