WAUSAU, WI –  In a rare Saturday session of the House of Representatives, Rep. Tom Tiffany voted against H.R. 8015, the Delivering for America Act, a bill with strong bi-partisan support. This legislation ensures protection of the United States Postal Service with emergency funding.

WI-07 Democratic Candidate Tricia Zunker released the following statement in response:

“The U.S. Postal Service is a critical lifeline to many people throughout Wisconsin. The Trump administration has undertaken efforts to sabotage the U.S. Postal Service for political gain. This is simply reprehensible. Veterans, senior citizens, disabled and rural populations depend on the U.S. Postal Service for delivery of medication, Social Security checks and necessary supplies. We must protect the U.S. Postal Service and its workers,” said Tricia Zunker. “Rather than siding with a bi-partisan coalition, Rep. Tiffany has once again demonstrated that he is simply President Trump’s rubber stamp in Congress. Rep. Tiffany has failed to deliver for the people of Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District with this vote.”
