[Madison, WI] – Wisconsin voters backed Republicans in a majority of the state’s congressional districts once again. Voters elected to send Bryan Steil, Glenn Grothman, Mike Gallagher, and Tom Tiffany back to Washington– while also electing first-candidate Scott Fitzgerald to Congress for the first time. The Republican Party of Wisconsin released the following statement from Chairman Andrew Hitt:

“Rep. Bryan Steil, Rep. Glenn Grothman, Rep. Mike Gallagher, and Rep. Tom Tiffany are working hard to fight for Wisconsin’s interests in Washington, D.C. It’s no surprise that voters rewarded them for the work they do each day to stand up for our Wisconsin way of life. Wisconsin’s Republican Congressional Delegation will continue to serve as an effective check against Nancy Pelosi and the liberal establishment in the swamp.

“While we are sad to see Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner leave Congress, his work to promote conservative principles for decades has left its mark on Congress and Wisconsin. Scott Fitzgerald will continue the legacy, as another strong conservative in Wisconsin’s Fifth District.”
