DeForest, WI – The Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council today announced its endorsement of Judge Jill Karofsky for Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice.  Judge Karofsky faces off in the April 7, 2020 general election against Justice Daniel Kelly who was appointed to the Supreme Court by former Governor Scott Walker.

“Throughout her legal career, Judge Karofsky has been an advocate for all of Wisconsin’s residents and victims of crime,” said John Schmitt, President/Business Manager of the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council.  “We know that as the next Justice to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, that Judge Karofsky will be fair in her application to the rule of law.”

“Members of the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council believe that judges should give all residents a fair shake, and we know that Judge Karofsky will help bring balance and fairness back to the Wisconsin Supreme Court,” said Schmitt.

“I deeply appreciate the hard-working members of LiUNA, and I thank the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council for their support,” said Judge Jill Karofsky.  “Together, we will reduce corruption, and ensure respect for the law and adherence to the constitution.  Working people deserve fair and equal treatment under the law, and the people of Wisconsin want their seat on the Supreme Court back.”
