The state Dem Party announced it is moving to a digital organizing program rather than a traditional canvassing effort ahead of the April 7 election.

It also is postponing gatherings of more than 250 people, including its annual Founders Day dinner. The event was planned for April 4, and the party had extended invitations to the remaining presidential candidates to address the dinner ahead of the April 7 primary.

“It’s time for all groups and institutions with events planned in the next few weeks to take swift action to slow the spread of Coronavirus,” said state Chair Ben Wikler.
