HAGER CITY, WI – Congressional candidate Derrick Van Orden released the following statement on Governor Evers’ statewide mask mandate:
“I am fully opposed to the new statewide mandate released by Governor Evers today. The choice of whether to wear a mask or not is a personal one, not one the government should force on us. We must find an effective balance between safety, personal freedoms, and private property. If a private business wants to require their customers to wear a mask, that is their right, and individuals have the right to choose whether or not to utilize that business’ services.”
