WASHINGTON, D.C.—Bryan Steil released a statement after voting in favor of the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act. The bill now heads to the Senate.

“Today’s bill provides additional resources to respond to the coronavirus. Included in this bill are resources for state and local public health officials who are on the front lines combatting this disease. Funding will be used to mitigate the coronavirus, develop a vaccine, and allocate medical supplies to states. I will continue to monitor this situation. I encourage all those with questions about the coronavirus to visit cdc.gov for the most accurate and up-to-date information,” said Steil.

Yesterday, Steil was one of 14 lawmakers to meet with Vice President Mike Pence at the White House to discuss ongoing efforts to combat the coronavirus.
