In the first TV ad of his bid for the 7th CD, Republican Tom Tiffany says growing up on a farm and shoveling manure was “great training for helping President Trump clean out the three-ring circus in Washington.”
Tiffany’s campaign said the state senator’s ad will debut Sunday during the Green Bay Packers’ playoff game. It will run on broadcast and cable across the northern Wisconsin district. But the campaign declined to provide other details, including how much it was spending on the buy.
In the spot, Tiffany calls himself a family man, a businessman and “an unapologetic conservative with experience draining the swamp in Madison, a consistent pro-life, pro-gun, pro-jobs record.”
As he talks, the screen touts Tiffany’s backing from former Gov. Scott Walker and former U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy, who he is seeking to replace in the 7th CD.
The spot closes with Tiffany shoveling manure into a front loader as he says, “And I know how to use a shovel.”
Tiffany faces Jason Church, a former aide to U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, in the Feb. 18 GOP primary.
