JANESVILLE, WISCONSIN–Today, Congressman Bryan Steil received support for his reelection to Congress from the Kenosha Professional Police Association, Milwaukee Police Association, and members of local law enforcement.

“I am honored to receive the support of local law enforcement. Everyday and in extraordinary circumstances, these men and women answer the call, do their jobs, and protect our community. I back the badge and I’m proud our men and women in blue back me. I look forward to working with our law enforcement to strengthen our communities and work towards a more perfect union,” said Steil.

“Two years ago when I met Bryan, we endorsed him based on what he said he was going to do for us.  Here we are two years later and Bryan has done more for us than we could have possibly ever imagined we would need from him. When Kenosha needed help, Bryan was there for us.  He personally called the President and got us the federal assistance our community needed to restore peace. Bryan stays in touch with local law enforcement on a regular basis and he is doing his part to make Wisconsin a safer place. This is an easy decision. As the President of the Kenosha Professional Police Association, we are proud to once again endorse Bryan Steil,” said Pete Deates, President of the Kenosha Professional Police Association.

“The Milwaukee Police Association represents over 1,400 rank and file officers, who go out each day and faithfully commit themselves to the service of their community. Congressman Steil has shown that he understands in order for a community to prosper they must first feel safe. Congressman Steil has proven that he will fight to obtain the needed resources for law enforcement so they can successfully protect all citizens and businesses. In today’s current climate where some politicians have chosen to vilify the police, we are grateful for leaders like Congressman Steil who are not afraid to stand with the men and women of law enforcement. We are honored to give our endorsement to Bryan Steil, a leader who shares our commitment in service to his community,” said Andrew Wagner, Vice President of the Milwaukee Police Association.

“I am personally endorsing Congressman Steil because he understands the importance of making our communities safe and has made it a top priority,” said Sean Marschke, past president of the Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association.

“Congressman Steil has been proactive with public safety officials trying to determine the needs of his constituents through their perspective.  When contacted, he has never failed to reply and follow through. Steil is an active listener with an open mind. He demonstrates this by asking good questions and actually listening to the answer. Too often, others make statements that are solely intended to solicit a sound bite response. With Bryan, you have a real conversation,” said Eric Cera of Hales Corners.

Steil has also received endorsements from the following current and retired sheriffs:

Walworth County Sheriff Kurt Picknell

Racine County Sheriff Chris Schmaling

Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson

Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth

Richard Schmidt, Milwaukee County Sheriff (Ret.)

David Graves, Walworth County Sheriff (Ret.)
