Milwaukee—Rep. JoCasta Zamarripa (D-Milwaukee) released the following statement on the
outbreak of COVID 19, also known as the Corona Virus:

“As COVID 19 spreads through Wisconsin, I want to emphasize to everyone—don’t panic, but be prepared. As always, follow the Wisconsin Department of Health Services recommendations: wash your hands often, cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, clean and disinfect surfaces thoroughly, and avoid nonessential travel.

“The best thing we can do, for the health of ourselves and our community, is social distancing. Stay home if you’re sick and avoid large gatherings. Be prepared to stay home for up to two weeks in case of quarantine.

“I want to thank Governor Tony Evers, as well as the leadership and expertise of health officials across Wisconsin and Milwaukee for their hard work as this virus spreads. We need to work together as a state to stem the rate of infection and to make sure all who need help receive it.”
