MADISON– Melissa Sargent (D-Madison) released the following statement announcing an endorsement from Eric Sundquist for her candidacy for Wisconsin’s 16th Senate District:

“Today I am proud to share an endorsement from Eric Sundquist,” said Sargent. “Eric’s work in the Dane County Democratic Party has been an invaluable asset to Wisconsin.”

Eric Sundquist is a member of the Madison Plan Commission and formerly served as the Dane Democratic Vice Chair of Communications. Prior to his involvement with the Dane County Democratic Party, Sundquist worked as the team leader for the Madtown O’s, an action team that has knocked over 500,000 doors and made over 250,000 phone calls in support of Democratic and progressive nonpartisan candidates. Sundquist has also worked as a research scientist at the Center for Quality Growth and Development at Georgia Tech and an instructor at Georgia State University.

“Melissa has proven to be a relentless advocate for a more equitable Wisconsin,” said Sundquist. “She has been an outspoken leader not only in the legislature, but in our communities and around our state, fighting for equity and inclusion for all Wisconsinites.”

“Eric’s dedication and knowledge to the Dane County community has truly distinguished his forward-thinking and progressive values. I am honored to be receiving his support,” said Sargent.
