MADISON – This week, the Wisconsin Conservation Voters released their 2019-2020 Legislative Scorecard, which reviews the performance of Wisconsin Legislators on conservation issues, bills, and votes each legislative session. Rep. Greta Neubauer (D-Racine) was named to the top of the “Conservation Honor Roll” for the session for her innovative Forward on Climate legislative package, released in December 2019. Rep. Neubauer released the following statement in response:

“I am deeply honored to receive the top spot on the Wisconsin Conservation Voters’ 2019-2020 Conservation Honor Roll,” Neubauer stated. “Climate change is a defining issue of our time and will increasingly impact each and every one of us, especially communities of color. We must act with urgency to mitigate the climate crisis and use this work to create good, family-supporting jobs and reduce inequality in every community.

“I was proud to work with my fellow legislators and people from across our state to bring Forward on Climate to the legislature this session. I will continue pushing for these and other Wisconsin-centered solutions to climate change going forward, so our children and grandchildren can enjoy the Wisconsin we love. Thank you to Wisconsin Conservation Voters for all of your work to protect Wisconsin’s people and natural resources this session!”
