MADISON – The following is a statement from Rep. Tip McGuire on Gov. Evers’ State of the State address:

“Working families are the backbone of this great state, and tonight Gov. Evers showed again that he is committed to leading on the issues that matter most to Wisconsinites: closing the Dark Store Loophole, bringing down the cost of prescription drugs, and addressing the looming student debt crisis.”

On Gov. Evers’ call for a special session to support Wisconsin agriculture:

“At a time when President Trump has turned his back on Wisconsin and our farmers, Gov. Evers has decided to take bold action, calling for a special session on agricultural issues, and establishing an Office of Rural Prosperity in order to reverse the damage of Trump’s tariffs. I look forward to the chance to provide much-needed assistance to the middle class families whose hard work feeds our state and our nation.”
