Madison – Today, Rep. Amy Loudenbeck (R-Clinton) released the following statement after Rep. Jason Fields (D-Milwaukee) announced his retirement from the legislature.

“I’ve had the honor and pleasure to get to know Jason during our time together in the legislature. We worked together on several bills that were signed into law, including 2019 Act 35 to help close the achievement gap. Jason is a true statesman. He is open-minded, strong willed and willing to work together for what’s best for his district and the people of Wisconsin.”

“Jason and I initiated our own legislative exchange this past session. My staff and I spent the day with him in Milwaukee last February and he and his staff spent the day in my district in January. The exchange provided the opportunity for us all to better understand and appreciate the different areas and unique places we serve”

“Jason will be greatly missed in the legislature. My staff and I wish him and Tasha the best of luck; I know he will excel at whatever comes next.”
