MADISON — Today State Representative Debra Kolste (D-Janesville) was formally appointed to the Committee on Joint Finance to fill the vacancy left by former State Representative Chris Taylor.

Representative Kolste issued the following statement:

“I am honored to be appointed to serve on the Committee on Joint Finance,” Rep. Kolste said. “Our state is at a critical point in history. We cannot turn our backs on the people we represent who are relying on us to act in their best interest during this crisis. I am pleased to have a seat at the table and am ready to work on whatever is needed to help the people of Wisconsin get through this public health and economic emergency.”

Rep. Kolste was first elected in 2012 and serves as the ranking Democratic member on the Assembly Committee on Health, Transportation, and Substance Abuse and Prevention.
