MILWAUKEE – Jason Fields, current state lawmaker and candidate for Milwaukee Comptroller, today issued the following statement regarding the endorsement of IBEW Local 494:

“During my time in the State Assembly, I’ve worked hard on the issues that matter to us the most, and have stood up for working people across Milwaukee. Today, I’m honored to announce the working people of IBEW Local 494 have endorsed my candidacy.

“As Comptroller, I will always be an advocate for working people and ensure that the policies of the City of Milwaukee have working people in mind. I look forward to partnering with them and doing what I can to promote the trades.”

Assistant Business Manager John Jacobs of IBEW Local 494 stated, “The working men and women of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 494 are proud to endorse State Representative Jason Fields for election as City of Milwaukee Comptroller.

“We are confident that he will work hard to protect the working men and women of the city. He has proven as leader of the Wisconsin Assembly that he will fight for those of us that wear work boots to make a living. We pledge our support for Jason.”
