The Progressive Change Campaign Committee is starting a new TV ad in Wisconsin that knocks President Trump over his actions toward Iran by using his own words against him from 2011.
The group said the spot will run on MSNBC, CNN and Fox starting today in the La Crosse/Eau Claire and Wausau/Rhinelander markets as well as the Milwaukee area. PCCC didn’t say how much it was spending on the campaign, which also includes Michigan and Hawaii.
The 30-second ad plays video of Trump charging Obama would start a war with Iran and was “weak and ineffective.”
“I believe that he will attack Iran sometime prior to the election, because he thinks that’s the only way he can get elected,” Trump says before the ad replays the line twice more.
The final screen reads: “STOP TRUMP. War for political gain is corrupt NOT patriotic.”
