MADISON, Wis. — In response to Trump’s support of the state Supreme Court’s conservative majority throwing out Gov. Evers’ stay-at-home order, Priorities USA’s Wisconsin Outreach Director, Cassidy Geoghegan, released the following statement:
“Trump’s failure to put Wisconsinites’ health and safety first is shameful. For months now, the president has ignored medical experts, downplayed the threat of coronavirus, and lied to the American people. We all want Wisconsin to open back up, but we must do so safely, which has always been Gov. Evers’ top priority. If Trump is serious about reopening our country, he should spend less time tweeting and more time putting a plan in place to reopen safely.”
