RACINE, WI — Serve America PAC, started by Congressman Seth Moulton to support service-oriented leaders in elections around the country, has named Roger Polack, a Racine native, national security expert, father of two and Candidate for Congress in Wisconsin’s 1st District, to its Watch List this election.

“I am honored to have Serve America on our team,” said Roger Polack. “They have helped reshape the landscape of Congress and I look forward to partnering with them to win this campaign in November.”

In 2018, Serve America supported 21 House candidates, 18 of which flipped their seat from Red to Blue.

Recent polling shows a competitive race in Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District between Polack and Republican Congressman Bryan Steil. That same poll showed Joe Biden and Donald Trump tied in a district that Trump won by more than 10 points in 2016.

About Roger Polack

Roger Polack grew up in Racine, one of four children in a blue-collar family that struggled financially. After graduating from Horlick High School, he put himself through UW-Madison and then joined the U.S. Department of the Treasury, serving in the Bush and Obama administrations as an intelligence analyst and then senior policy advisor. Polack deployed to Afghanistan multiple times for a total of 20 months, ultimately serving as head of intelligence for a cell that worked to shut down the Taliban’s financing pipeline and expose corruption in Afghanistan.  Upon returning from Afghanistan, he attended law school at Georgetown University in the evenings while continuing to work full-time on some of the most pressing national security concerns our country faces. He ensured that foreign investments in the U.S., in particular those from China, did not endanger our national security, and he worked to stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions.  Since then, he’s served as an attorney focusing on public international law and investigations. Polack is married to his wife Amanda, also from Racine, and they have two young children together. He’s running for Congress because he wants to continue serving our country and ensure that every family, just like his own, has the opportunity to build a better life for themselves.
