Farmer, Pierce County Board Supervisor, Republican

Mel Pittman is a long-time successful dairy farmer and has served many years on the Pierce County Board of Supervisors. He also served his community on numerous other boards while operating his farm. Mel ran for the 31st State Senate seat in 2014 and 2018, losing both times in a close race in a district that leans to the left. He knows that to win against Ron Kind, it is vitally important to capture the independent and younger voters.
