The Building Trades Council of South Central Wisconsin (BTC) has endorsed Alder Lindsay Lemmer for State Assembly, District 48.
The BTC is comprised of 17 local building trades unions representing more than 6,000 building trades members who live and work in a seven county area. BTC members are skilled trade workers who are involved in all aspects of building and construction. The Council is affiliated with the Wisconsin State AFL-CIO.
“Alder Lemmer has the combination of skills, experience, and commonsense that we need in the State Legislature,” said Dave Branson, Executive Director of the BTC. “As a union member herself, she knows the importance of labor unions and she understands the work our members do. Her proven track record as a leader who gets things done impressed us and we’ll do everything we can to help elect her as the next State Representative from the 48th District.”

Alder Lindsay Lemmer is a Madison City Council member and a native Madisonian with a proven track record as an energetic and effective advocate for the people she represents. Throughout her career she has championed access to education, voting rights, equal rights, and economic opportunity for all.
Lindsay’s commitment to public service is extensive. A longtime member of the National Organization for Women (NOW), she is President of the Wisconsin chapter. She has also served as the Communications Chair for the Dane County Voter ID Coalition, working with the League of Women Voters and the NAACP on voting rights.
Lindsay has a Masters of Business Administration from Edgewood College and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She and her partner Adam Hills-Meyer live in the Heritage Heights neighborhood on Madison’s east side.
