La Crosse, WI— Wisconsin farmers know Ron Kind has their back and that without his efforts, USMCA wouldn’t be the deal it is today. Ron was the first to demand Canada eliminate its class 7 dairy program in this agreement and fought to guarantee Wisconsin farmers access to the Canadian dairy market, increase labor and environmental standards, and more.

But don’t just take our word for it:

“I appreciate Rep. Kind’s work to get USMCA across the finish line. His efforts to secure enforceability provisions made USMCA stronger and will ensure that farmers benefit from gains in the agreement,” said Darin Von Ruden, farmer from Westby, WI.

“As a farmer, I know firsthand that we are stronger when we act together. I appreciate Rep. Kind working hard to find strong bipartisan support for USMCA to ensure that our export markets remain open with our neighbors,” said Shane Goplin, farmer from Osseo.

“I want to thank Rep. Kind for his hard work to get USMCA across the line. This is a significant achievement that will benefit Wisconsin dairy farmers like me. This is the first important step of many that are needed to try and stabilize the market hardships that Wisconsin farmers have suffered over the last few years. We need to keep looking for new opportunities abroad, and I know Rep. Kind will be there, making sure our voices are heard,” said Pat Danzinger, farmer from Alma, WI.

“I’m proud of the bipartisan work the House did to make USMCA the pro-dairy, pro-enforcement, pro-worker agreement it is today, the gains achieved for Wisconsin dairy farmers, workers, and families would not have existed without our efforts,” said Ron Kind.
