MADISON – Hundreds of students, parents, teachers, and community leaders will celebrate School Choice Week in Madison alongside Vice President Mike Pence on Tuesday, January 28. Attendees representing a wide variety of schools and organizations are expected to showcase student talents and raise awareness about the importance of school choice at the celebratory rally planned in the Capitol Rotunda from noon to 1 p.m.

Hispanics for School Choice Director Tammy Olivas today issued the following statement:

“We are excited to kickstart the 30-year anniversary of the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program at the State Capitol during National School Choice Week. As a longtime supporter of school choice, we are honored that Vice President Pence will be celebrating the Week with us. We look forward to showcasing the amazing schools our state has to offer and raising the profile of this important issue.”

The student showcase and rally is organized by School Choice Wisconsin, Hispanics for School Choice, No Better Friend Corp., Wisconsin Institute of Law and Liberty, Wisconsin Federation for Children and Americans for Prosperity Foundation.
