MADISON— Gov. Tony Evers today appointed Cairie Virrueta as the new Walworth County register of deeds, filling a vacancy created by the upcoming resignation of Donna Pruess effective on March 12, 2020.

“Through her prior service to the city of Elkhorn as the city clerk and her involvement with various local groups, Cairie Virrueta has proven her commitment to public service and her community,” said Gov. Evers. “I am confident that Cairie will be an excellent register of deeds and serve the people of Walworth County well.”
