Madison…Representative Romaine Quinn (R-Barron) delivers the GOP Weekly Radio Address.

There are still unanswered questions about the secret recording the governor’s office made of a recent meeting with legislative leaders. We are in a time that requires leaders to find ways to build trust and work together.

The decision by the governor’s staff to secretly record the call is a violation of that trust.
In fact, it’s a decision that could be a felony crime, according the non-partisan Legislative Reference Bureau, because the Governor said he didn’t know about the recording.

So far, the governor has refused to identify or discipline the staff member who secretly taped the conversation. This shows a complete disregard for civility, cooperation and a lack of leadership. It’s time for Governor Evers to show accountability by taking responsibility for this situation. Wisconsin citizens expect more from their governor.
