U.S. Rep. Mike Gallagher’s fourth TV ad of the campaign cycle portrays him as a bipartisan problem-solver who is tackling surprise medical billing.

The spot, titled “Surprise,” is running online, on broadcast and on cable for the next week in the Green Bay media market. A Gallagher spokesman did not disclose details of the buy. But according to Advertising Analytics, Gallagher has secured more than $531,000 on broadcast TV between mid-August and Election Day. That includes almost $118,000 Oct. 6-13.

The ad largely features the Green Bay Republican speaking directly into the camera from a kitchen counter mixed with video of his wife Anne and newborn daughter Grace.

Gallagher says surprise medical billing “happens to everyone, Republicans and Democrats.”

“That’s why I’m working across the aisle to fix it,” he says, by pushing to require health care providers, insurers and drug companies to provide up-front pricing.
