“When I endorse, it’s because I believe in the person, regardless of political party affiliation. Jessi is the candidate I believe has the knowledge, skills and principles to best serve Wisconsin Rapids in Congress. She understands the challenges economies in central Wisconsin are facing because she has seen and experienced them growing up here. She is committed to fiscal responsibility and will work with locally elected officials to ensure the decisions made in Washington, D.C. match the budgets and ideas of those they impact in Wisconsin’s 3rd District. I know she will be a strong advocate for us in Congress, and I encourage everyone to support her on August 11th.”

Shane Blaser
Wisconsin Rapids Mayor

Shane Blaser was elected to his first term as Mayor of Wisconsin Rapids in April 2020, when he unseated the eight-year incumbent. Before becoming mayor of the fifth largest city in Wisconsin’s 3rd District, he served as a city alderman and worked as the city clerk from 2007-2015. Blaser’s strong background in public service comes from his years as a dedicated elected official and as a former police officer and volunteer fire fighter. He has worked in the Rome and Wisconsin Rapids police departments, the Adams County Sheriff’s Department and the Wisconsin Rapids Water Works and Lighting Commission. Blaser is also a small business owner and president of the Wisconsin Rapids Youth Sports Association.

“I’m honored to have the support of Mayor Blaser, a committed public servant and trusted community leader. Shane is reform-minded and builds consensus around commonsense solutions that improve the services provided by the City of Wisconsin Rapids. I’m looking forward to what he will accomplish as mayor and to working with him on federal policies that will help the cities in western and central Wisconsin flourish.”
