Yesterday, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin hosted debate watch parties and events across the state to rally support for Joe Biden’s unifying vision for America. At the events, participants watched President Trump offer only interruptions and lies while Joe Biden spoke directly to the American people about the challenges facing our communities. Biden demonstrated the leadership and temperament that Wisconsinites are calling for in this election.

“This is an opportunity to rally the troops, to get people joined in this fight and really get involved, because we need to organize to win Wisconsin and that’s where we are going right now,” said Terry Lee of Green Bay.

“This is not a time to sit on the sideline or sit on the fence, it’s a time to get out and vote, and be active in the process,” said Denise Gaumer-Hutchison of Green Bay.

During a virtual spin room, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley and State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski reacted to the debate and highlighted Joe Biden’s plan to fight for Wisconsin families.

“The economy was bad before COVID. Something that Donald Trump just talks about is–the market, the market. But when you look at things here in Wisconsin, in 2019, we were number one for farm bankruptcies because Donald Trump prioritized trade wars with countries like Canada over our hardworking Wisconsinites,” said State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski.

“At the end of the day, we have to look at what is on the ballot, and when you look at this particular debate the only thing that Donald Trump could really talk about was to continue to divide, and conquer, and instill fear into the American people…We need a leader and right now Donald Trump has not been the leader that we need,” said Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley.
