Today, former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Janine Geske released the following statement endorsing Joe Biden for President of the United States:
“Joe Biden embodies everything we look for in a president — integrity, honesty, and a profound commitment to improving the lives of others. This election is too important for any of us to sit on the sidelines. The future of our republic — and our democratic institutions — is at stake.
“As a former justice, I’ve never been one to wade into politics. In fact, throughout my life I’ve voted for both Republicans and Democrats. Like so many folks across Wisconsin, I vote for the person — not the party — and sometimes that decision is hard. But for me, the choice in this election is clear. Joe Biden has the experience and character we need in the Oval Office. While Donald Trump has torn our country apart, Joe will bring our country together and work with both sides of the aisle.
“I want a president our children and grandchildren can look up to again. That’s why I’ll be casting my ballot for Joe Biden.”
Justice Geske was appointed to the Wisconsin Supreme Court by Republican Governor Tommy Thompson and previously was nominated by Republican Governor Lee Dreyfus to serve on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court. Justice Geske is a Port Washington, Wisconsin native and is currently a professor at Marquette University Law School.
