Markesan… Joan Ballweg, candidate for the 14th Senate District, announced today the endorsement of her campaign by former Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch.
“Joan Ballweg is a true champion for her constituents and rural Wisconsin,” said Kleefisch. “I’ve had the honor to work with Joan as she fights to bring the voice of Southcentral Wisconsin to Madison. I’m proud to call her a friend and endorse her for the state senate.”
Ballweg currently represents the 41st Assembly District. She was first elected to the state assembly in 2004. Before that she served as Mayor of Markesan where she still resides with her husband, Tom. Together, they own and operate a farm equipment business in Waupun and a lawn equipment store in Beaver Dam.
“I’m grateful to Rebecca for her faith in my abilities and her service to the state of Wisconsin,” said Ballweg. “I’m proud of the work we’ve accomplished and look forward to returning to Madison as a member of the state senate.”
