A new non-profit “dedicated to highlighting the negative impacts of President Trump’s policies in rural America” today announced its first inroads into Wisconsin.

Rural America 2020, a 501(c)(4) organization, unveiled members of its Wisconsin steering committee, a group it says is committed to “leading the charge to highlight the negative impact of Trump administration policies on rural communities.”

A group spokesman said its efforts will include a $4 million paid ad campaign in six states with an emphasis on Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

The steering committee includes:

*Mindy Walker, a former lobbyist and aide to Gov. Jim Doyle;
*Darin Von Ruden, a dairy farmer and president of the Wisconsin Farmers Union board of directors;
*Sachin Shivaram, CEO of the Manitowoc-based Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry;
*Gary Sherman, a former Appeals Court judge and Assembly Dem from Port Wing;
*Richard Judge, a longtime legislative staffer and Doyle’s deputy chief of staff;
*and John Hendricks, a farmer and former educator from Monroe County.
