Dept. of Natural Resources: Final year of West Nile Virus monitoring to conclude this Fall

MADISON, Wis. – In collaboration with the Minnesota and Michigan Departments of Natural Resources, the Ruffed Grouse Society and Wisconsin Conservation Congress, the Wisconsin Department of Natural resources will conduct the third and final year of sampling in a multi-year monitoring program this fall looking at West Nile virus (WNV) in ruffed grouse. MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) awarded a grant from the Wisconsin Assessment Monies (WAM) program to the city of Portage. Medical College: Report shows 40% increase in Wisconsin suicide rate since 2000, offers plan to reduce deaths

Milwaukee, Sept. 11, 2020 – A recently published report by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Mental Health America of Wisconsin and the Comprehensive Injury Center (CIC) at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), “Suicide in Wisconsin: Impact and Response,” summarizes the burden of suicide in the state and offers a comprehensive approach to reduce suicide attempts and deaths.
