Thompson, Walker, state GOP leaders among Wisconsin delegates to Republican National Convention

Wisconsin’s delegation to the Republican National Convention in Florida next month includes newly minted UW System Interim President Tommy Thompson, former Gov. Scott Walker and the Legislature’s top GOP leaders. In addition to Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, and Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, state Sens. Dan Feyen, of Fond du Lac, and Howard Marklein, of Spring Green, are among the delegates. Reps. Tyler August, of Lake Geneva, and John Nygren, of Marinette, are among the alternates. Report: Trump campaign reserves $7.4M in TV ad slots in Wisconsin

President Trump’s campaign has reserved $7.4 million on TV ads in Wisconsin between Labor Day and Election Day, according to Ad Age. Ad Age, which follows marketing and media, reported the buy is part of a $99.7 million buy across six states, according to a project it’s been working on with Kantar/CMAG. Medium Buying, which tracks campaign ads, earlier this week reported early details of the buy in the six states, including Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
