The Assembly State Affairs Committee has amended a bill that would expand bar hours for the Democratic National Convention, removing provisions that would’ve established a permit process for wedding barns. The amendment also pulled from the bill a section changing the hours that wineries can operate. The bill’s author, Rep. Rep. Vining: Introduces “Epi access” legislation

MADISON – Today, State Representative Robyn Vining (D-Wauwatosa), State Representative Mark Spreitzer (D-Beloit), and State Senator Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee) introduced the “Epi Access” bill to make epinephrine more accessible and affordable in Wisconsin. The first part of the bill directs the Department of Health Services to use general purpose revenue (GPR) to stock every ambulance in Wisconsin with epinephrine auto-injectors, because not every ambulance can stock them due to cost. The second part of this bill allows pharmacists to substitute a less costly epinephrine product for patients, unless a prescriber indicates otherwise. Rep. Dept. of Public Instruction: Wisconsin’s public libraries receive $3 million federal grant

MADISON — The Department of Public Instruction announced today that Wisconsin received a multi-million dollar federal grant to aid in improving access and collaboration in its public libraries. As part of the Library Services and Technology Act’s 2020 Grants to States program, Wisconsin received a $3,011,929 allocation to achieve goals prioritized in the 2018-22 Five-Year Plan.
