Pat Goss, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association (WTBA), issued the following statement on Gov. Evers’ transportation budget proposal:
“Governor Tony Evers tonight introduced a budget that prioritizes fixing Wisconsin’s crumbling roads and bridges and responsibly invests in our infrastructure for the long term. We applaud the Governor for his strong leadership on this issue and look forward to working with the Legislature to accomplish this shared goal.
“WTBA remains laser-focused on its number one priority – securing a long-term, sustainable transportation revenue solution. Provisions related to prevailing wage are a distraction to that goal this session and ought to be dealt with outside of the state budget.”
