[Madison, WI] – Due to Nancy Pelosi’s petty partisan antics, Americans will not hear the State of the State Address tonight as originally scheduled. For the first time in our country’s history, the House Speaker rescinded an invitation to the President to deliver the State of the Union Address. This behavior is becoming all too common for Congressional Democrats who are desperate to oppose President Trump at every turn. In response, the Republican Party of Wisconsin issued the following statement from Executive Director Mark Morgan:
“While the address has been rescheduled for next week, this delay should serve as a reminder of the hyper-partisan political games being played by Speaker Nancy Pelosi and house democrats. Nancy Pelosi and her allies, including Wisconsin democrats, have repeatedly rejected every solution with zero consideration for the safety of our nation. I urge Wisconsin’s congressional delegation to stop playing political games and put our national security first – it’s time to work with President Trump to fix the crisis at our border.”
